Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC)

The FPPC is an independent commission that has primary responsibility for the impartial and effective administration of the Political Reform Act. The Act regulates campaign financing, conflicts of interest, lobbying, and governmental ethics. Public Financing Agreements and Payments Related to the Downtown Project
The City of Palm Springs entered into a reimbursement agreement with Wessman Development on
March 31, 2011, for fifty percent (50%) of the preliminary development costs associated with the downtown Palm Springs project. The reimbursement agreement was amended on September 12, 2012. Subsequently, on September 29, 2011, the City entered into a Project Financing Agreement with Palm Springs Promenade, LLC.

Department of Justice Removed Documents
On September 1, 2015, the U.S. Department of Justice served the City of Palm Springs with a search warrant and removed two boxes of miscellaneous records from City Hall. The DOJ returned a copy of the documents and the City of Palm Springs has made them available for the public review.

City Budget and Financial Information
The City of Palm Springs is pleased to introduce a new interactive budget tool – OpenGov – a portal into the Finance Department’s budget data.  This new web-based financial review tool dynamically presents revenues and expenses, from historical trends to line item level details.  With the OpenGov platform, residents and staff have access to current and historical budget information, presented in a more user friendly format.
